January has arrived with its signature blend of cold drizzle and clients “circling back” to those emails you foolishly promised you’d pick up, the first week of January.

Fortunately for us, the House Keeper is no such fool, and has quietly been hoarding the oddities she considers worthy of unveiling for 2026. She insists these are the things worth paying attention to this new year, and honestly, who are we to argue.

So, whilst you quietly question every life choice that led you here, it feels only logical to stay indoors, draw the curtains, abandon all forms of responsibility, and coax the fire into roaring like we’re trying to summon something ancient.

The House Keeper begins, naturally, with Silent Hill, because nothing says “fresh year, fresh start” like voluntarily returning to a town that behaves like a psychological escape room designed by someone who personally hates you.

Return to Silent Hill brings fog, trauma, and the comforting knowledge that whatever’s going on in your inbox, at least you’re not being pursued by manifestations of your unresolved guilt. Small wins.

The long‑awaited adaptation finally crawls out of the fog and into cinemas on the 23rd January.
